Water- Are You Drinking Enough Of It?!

It is suggested by most health authorities that we need to be drinking about 2 litres of water per day, it sounds like a lot and honestly we would probably rather be drinking wine (just kidding...) We are actually water addicts here at Wake Up & Glow and never leave home without a water bottle! Our body honestly needs it! Drinking a lot of water helps flush out the toxins from our body, prevents headaches, and improves heart health, but not only is it good for our bodies, it is great for our skin and hair! 

If your skin is not getting the sufficient amount of water, the lack of hydration will rear its ugly head by turning your skin dry, tight and flaky. Dry skin has less resilience and is more prone to wrinkling! 

For your hair drinking the recommended 2 litres of water is crucial- it can help eliminate dandruff, allows your hair to grow to it's full potential and help strengthen your hair!

We have a few tips to help you drink more water everyday!

1. Get yourself a cute water bottle! We are seriously obsessed with these copper beauties <3.

2. Add fresh or frozen fruit to your water to give in a hint of flavour

3. Drink your water at room temperature! What we love most. We keep vintage glass jars full of water and when they are at room temp we transfer them over into our metal or copper bottles!

We hope this helps you to start drinking more water, we know we are working hard to meet our 2 litre a day goal!
