Article: When The Exhaustion Sets In!

When The Exhaustion Sets In!

Some people hit a wall at 3pm, others on Thursdays, or for some, it could be the middle of September! Are you one of those people that things seem to really build up and all happen at once? If so, you are definitely not alone. Sometimes it feels like everything is on your plate at once, and then a week or two from then, it is back to being manageable! When we are at the point of our to-do lists overflowing, emails unanswered, and kids forgotten at soccer practice (joking, joking), there are a few things we like to do to make sure we are staying balanced and present!

  1. Yoga: Our favourite is Breathe in Avendia or Mackenzie, they finish each class with a cold lemongrass towel, and it gives you an hour to forget about everything else, and just be with yourself.

  2. Meditate: Put your favourite essential oil into your diffuser, and just sit. You can close your eyes and reflect on what’s been going on, think about your goals, or just think about nothing at all!

  3. Walk: Walking in Fish Creek Park here in Calgary is one of the nicest places to go to just go and get lost in your thoughts! You can walk forever if you wanted to, and it is a great thing to get back in nature when you are feeling disconnected!

And if all of these things fail- Wine. Wine always helps!
